Visiting patients receiving end of life care

Hands holding another hand in supportThe Trust recognises that it is extremely important for families to be able to be with loved ones at the end of their life.

If a patient you wish to visit is receiving end of life care in our hospitals, including in the Intensive Care Unit, one visitor, a representative of the immediate family or a carer will be permitted to visit following agreement with the nurse in charge.

If the patient receiving end of life care is a child we will allow both parents to visit.
